A healthcare facility needed one system managing patient tracking and appointment scheduling for several distinct roles — reception, physicians, administration — without drowning any user in screens that aren't theirs.
The challenge
Healthcare data is sensitive and the work on it is critical: reception needs fast scheduling, physicians need the patient file in front of them in real time, and administration needs the full picture — three different experiences over one database, all of which must stay accessible for users who spend hours on them daily.
The engineering approach
Built with Next.js and Prisma over PostgreSQL, with role-composed interfaces: each role gets its own dashboard and permissions, while shared components — tables, forms, the calendar — are built once with sound accessibility patterns: visible labels, errors beside fields, and full keyboard navigation.
The result
A live system managing the full patient journey — from booking to follow-up — with real-time data visualization, precise role-based access, and forms the reception team can complete quickly without errors.
